Hailing from the fog city -Saint John, NB- Lola started her cosplay career later in life. Although involved in theatre and drama throughout her education, Lola was 39 the first time she attended a convention; now nearly 46 she’s obsessed with bringing some of her favorite characters to life.

Lola learned to sew when she was 12, a skill that has been vital in creating many of her award-winning cosplays. Some of these include Pixar’s Scottish princess Merida; Fallout 4’s charming ghoul mayor Hancock; and local historical figure Lady Latour, the Lioness of Acadia.  Over the past 7 years she’s also worn many other Disney princess costumes, as well as many movie, cartoon, comic book and anime characters. She has big plans for the future, including a *super-secret* cosplay that she will hopefully have finished for an Animaritime.

One thing, Lola is committed to is creating and maintaining a truly inclusive community. Cosplay is for everyone- something she truly believes, and so everyone is welcome in her community. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how much you weigh/your body type, your race, your gender or orientation. Just dress up, be respectful and HAVE FUN!
