BRENDA HICKEY is a comic artist and writer from Prince Edward Island, Canada. She got her start in the comic industry with IDW’s “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” series, working on the main series as well as many of the mini series. In 2018 she branched out and illustrated “Ward’s Valley”, an original graphic novel written by Bobby Curnow and published by Top Shelf. Her creator owned book “Halls of the Turnip King” was published in January 2020 by Pegamoose Press and was nominated for “Best Graphic Novel” by both Sequential Magazine and the Gene Day Awards. Brenda has also written/illustrated graphic novels for the popular Netflix original “Aggretsuko”, created by Sanrio and published by Oni Press. Most recently she teamed up with husband Troy Little to collaborate on an original graphic novella titled “Butterfly House” which has also been nominated by Sequential Magazine for “Best Graphic Novel”.
